Ingredients
  

  • 700 g beef stew meat cubed
  • 3 carrots sliced
  • 3 potatoes cubed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot and brown the beef on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
  5. Gradually add beef broth while stirring to create a smooth base.
  6. Return beef to the pot and add paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Add carrots and potatoes, then stir to combine.
  8. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5–2 hours until beef is tender.
  9. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.

Notes

Brown the beef well for deeper flavor
Simmer slowly for tender meat
Add extra broth if the stew becomes too thick
