Ingredients
  

  • Apple Filling
  • 2 cups fresh apples peeled and diced
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pie Bombs
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough 8–12 biscuits
  • 12 caramel candies or thick caramel sauce
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish or muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Flatten each biscuit into a circle.
  4. Place 1 tablespoon apple filling in the center, then add one caramel candy.
  5. Wrap dough around filling, pinching edges tightly to seal.
  6. Dip each dough ball into melted butter.
  7. Roll in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
  8. Place seam-side down in prepared dish.
  9. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
Seal dough well to prevent caramel leaking
Serve warm for best texture
Can be adapted into muffins, mini cakes, or sweet breakfast breads
