  • 1 lb 450g ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup optional
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Diced pickles
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Mustard drizzle
  • Extra shredded cheese for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Cook the Beef
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir in ketchup if using.

  9. Prepare Batter
  10. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, flour, and eggs until smooth.

Notes
