Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Pickle slices
  • Diced onions
  • Ketchup mustard, or burger sauce
  • BBQ sauce for BBQ quesadillas

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add ground beef.
  2. Cook beef until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well and remove from heat.
  4. Lay tortillas flat and sprinkle cheese over one half of each tortilla.
  5. Add a layer of cooked beef on top of the cheese.
  6. Add optional toppings like pickles, onions, or sauce if desired.
  7. Sprinkle additional cheese over the beef, then fold tortillas in half.
  8. Heat butter or oil in a clean skillet over medium heat.
  9. Cook quesadillas for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from skillet, slice into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for best melting
Avoid overfilling to prevent tearing
Drain beef well to keep quesadillas crispy
Leftover beef can be stored for up to 3 days
