  • 1 small onion diced

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Drain excess grease.
  4. In a bowl, mix uncooked rice, beef broth, soup, and milk until well combined.
  5. Stir the cooked ground beef into the rice mixture.
  6. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40–45 minutes, until rice is tender.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
