Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and set in the center.
- Cool completely before adding glaze.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over bars.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
Do not overbake to keep bars soft and moist.
Let bars cool fully before glazing.
Add cream cheese to the glaze for extra richness.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freeze (without glaze) for up to 2 months.
