These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are soft bread filled with cinnamon sugar, rolled up, dipped in custard, and pan-fried to golden perfection. A fun and sweet french toast breakfast perfect for kids and brunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 slices soft sandwich bread crusts removed
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Custard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional Topping
  • Powdered sugar or cream cheese glaze

Method
 

  1. Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread over bread.
  3. Roll tightly into logs.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla. Dip rolls into mixture.
  5. Cook in a buttered skillet over medium heat until golden on all sides.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle glaze before serving.

Notes

Use soft bread for easy rolling.
Do not soak too long in custard.
Can be baked at 375°F for 15 minutes for a lighter option.
