Cinnamon Sugar Cruffins

These Cinnamon Sugar Cruffins are flaky, buttery pastries coated in sweet cinnamon sugar. Made with puff pastry or crescent dough, they combine the best parts of croissants and muffins into one irresistible bakery-style treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets or crescent dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Cream cheese filling
  • Nutella or chocolate spread
  • Chopped nuts
  • Vanilla glaze or powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together.
  3. Roll out dough slightly on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Brush melted butter over dough.
  5. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Roll dough tightly into a log from the long edge.
  7. Slice the log lengthwise to expose layers.
  8. Twist each half loosely and roll into spiral shapes.
  9. Place spirals into muffin tin cups.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  11. Brush warm cruffins lightly with butter and coat with extra cinnamon sugar.
  12. Serve warm.
