Ingredients
  

  • 1 package 14 oz chocolate sandwich cookies (crushed)
  • 1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages 3.4 oz each instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 container 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • Toppings Optional:
  • Mini chocolate eggs or candy-coated chocolates
  • Gummy worms
  • Green-colored shredded coconut for “grass”
  • Easter sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Crush the chocolate cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by crushing in a sealed bag.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
  4. Combine the pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture and mix well.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping until smooth and fluffy.
  6. In a casserole dish, spread a layer of crushed cookies on the bottom.
  7. Add a layer of the creamy mixture, then repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  8. Finish with a top layer of crushed cookies to create the “dirt” look.
  9. Decorate with candy eggs, coconut grass, and sprinkles.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
