Ingredients
  

  • pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 4 –5 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 can 15 oz baked beans
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and drain excess grease.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Top with half of the ground beef, half of the baked beans, and half of the soup mixture.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, beef, beans, and soup mixture.
  7. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Slice potatoes thinly to ensure even cooking.
Add vegetables like corn or green beans for extra nutrition.
Swap cheddar cheese with Colby Jack or mozzarella if desired.
