Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

Juicy oven-baked chicken thighs coated in a sticky, sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. Perfect for bone-in or boneless skinless chicken thighs and ideal for easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 chicken thighs bone-in/skin-on or boneless/skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • Honey Garlic Sauce
  • cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking dish with parchment or lightly grease.
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry. Rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Place chicken in the dish, skin side up if using skin-on.
  4. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon juice. Pour half over the chicken.
  5. Bake for 25–35 minutes depending on thigh type.
  6. In a saucepan, combine remaining sauce with cornstarch and water. Simmer until thick.
  7. Brush thickened sauce over chicken. Bake 5–10 more minutes.
  8. Broil 2–3 minutes for caramelized edges.
  9. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Internal temperature must reach 165°F (75°C).
Add chili flakes for hot honey garlic chicken.
Add Dijon mustard for honey mustard variation.
Boneless thighs cook faster—check early.
