Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Red pepper flakes for heat
  • Broccoli carrots, or bell peppers

Method
 

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add ground beef.
  3. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if needed.
  4. Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
  6. Pour sauce over the beef and stir well to coat evenly.
  7. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Spoon beef mixture over bowls of rice.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm.
