Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until lightly golden.
- Transfer chicken to the prepared baking dish.
- Spread ranch dressing evenly over each chicken breast.
- In a bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, mozzarella or provolone, panko breadcrumbs, and melted butter.
- Spoon the Parmesan mixture over the chicken, pressing gently to stick.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and topping is golden.
- Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Let rest briefly, then serve warm.
