- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cake layers cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
