Soft and chewy Oatmeal Cookies made with rolled oats and simple ingredients. These classic cookies are easy to make, perfectly balanced between chewy and crispy, and ideal for snacks, breakfast treats, or oatmeal desserts.

Method
 

  1. 1 cup butter (softened)
  2. 3/4 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  9. 2 cups rolled oats
  10. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  11. Cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  12. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  13. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  14. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  15. Stir in rolled oats and optional add-ins like chocolate chips or raisins.
  16. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing evenly.
  17. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  18. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Use rolled oats for best texture
Do not overbake for chewy cookies
Chill dough for thicker cookies
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days
