- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; mix well.
- Stir in hot water until smooth batter forms.
- Fold in crushed Oreos.
- Pour into pans and bake for 28–32 minutes.
- Let cakes cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla; mix well.
- Fold in crushed Oreos.
- Frost cake layers and decorate with Oreos.
Notes
- Chill cake before slicing for clean layers.
- Do not overmix batter to keep cake soft.
- You can turn this into an Oreo Icebox Cake using no-bake layers.
- Store in fridge for up to 5 days.
