This Oreo Icebox Cake is an easy no-bake dessert made with layers of Oreo cookies and fluffy whipped cream. After chilling, the cookies soften into a cake-like texture, creating a rich and creamy treat perfect for parties, holidays, and summer gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • Cake
  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Garnish
  • Crushed Oreo cookies
  • Whole Oreo cookies
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Extra whipped cream

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  2. If using cream cheese, beat it into the whipped cream until smooth.
  3. Spread a thin layer of whipped cream on the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  4. Arrange a layer of Oreo cookies over the cream. Break cookies as needed to fill gaps.
  5. Spread one-third of the whipped cream mixture over the cookies.
  6. Repeat the layers of Oreos and whipped cream until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  7. Sprinkle crushed Oreos and chocolate shavings over the top.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Overnight chilling gives the best cake-like texture.
  • Use cold heavy cream for easier whipping.
  • Try different Oreo flavors like mint or golden Oreos for variations.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Freeze for up to 1 month for a frozen dessert version.
