  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup butter sliced thin

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish lightly.
  2. Pour canned peaches with syrup into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle dry yellow cake mix evenly over peaches. Do not stir.
  4. Arrange thin slices of butter evenly across the top of the cake mix.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, or chopped nuts on top if desired.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow cake to cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
