Ingredients
  

  • 200 g pasta spaghetti, penne, or fettuccine
  • 250 g shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional Add-ins:
  • 1 cup spinach
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes
  • ½ cup mushrooms
  • Chili flakes for extra heat

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back to the pan.
  8. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve warm.

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best creamy texture.
