Snickerdoodle Cookies

Soft and chewy Snickerdoodle Cookies coated in a classic cinnamon sugar mixture. These easy homemade cookies are perfectly sweet, slightly crisp on the edges, and ideal for snacks, desserts, and holiday baking.

Ingredients
  

  • For the cookies:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • For the coating:
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  6. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll dough into balls and coat in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Do not overbake for soft cookies
Chill dough for thicker cookies
Roll generously in cinnamon sugar for best flavor
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days
