Ingredients
  

  • For the Spaghetti
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground chicken
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • For the Garlic Bread
  • 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar optional

Method
 

  1. Cook the Spaghetti
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Meat Sauce
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened (about 3 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add ground beef (or chicken) and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  6. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  7. Toss cooked spaghetti with sauce and sprinkle Parmesan on top.
  8. Make the Garlic Bread
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and parsley.
  11. Slice bread lengthwise and spread garlic butter evenly. Top with mozzarella and cheddar.
  12. Bake 10–12 minutes until cheese melts and edges are golden. Broil 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.

Do not overcook pasta — al dente is best.
Use freshly shredded cheese for smoother melting.
